GiGi's
Playhouse Too is a not for profit resource/activity center for individuals
with Down syndrome. The Playhouse focuses on providing activities and
support to these individuals and their families in a positive, accepting
environment. The Playhouse also focuses on promoting community awareness,
educating people that there is much more to our children than just Down
syndrome.
GiGi's Playhouse Too offers programs to individuals with Down syndrome
of all ages, from infancy through adulthood. The innovative programs provided
will enrich the lives of those with Down syndrome and give them a sense
of accomplishment and pride. Many of the programs will integrate typically
developing individuals with the individuals who have Down syndrome. Such
programs will help foster acceptance and new friendships.
GiGi's Playhouse Too will be a place for families to connect and share
their hopes and dreams in a positive atmosphere. The Playhouse will provide
support and information to the parents of individuals with Down syndrome
in a welcoming, environment.
GiGi's Playhouse Too will be the home of DS Support. A support group for
individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
GiGi's Playhouse was founded in 2003 by Nancy Gianni, an inspiration from
her youngest daughter Giuliana (Gigi). GiGI's Playhouse Too began as a
dream of many families wanting a place close to home where they could
connect and share their hopes for their children.
GiGi's Playhouse Too is deeply thankful to those who have generously donated
their time and financial assistance to make this dream come true for many
families.
